Elgin Park is proud to participate in the Terry Fox Run every September. It is important to keep the tradition going and support Terry's goals and dreams.
Terry showed courage, determination and perseverance as he ran across Canada raising awareness and funds for cancer research. Terry was an inspiration to a generation and an entire country and it is up to us to keep his legacy going. For 2025-2026, we are back to one school wide run on Sept 26th during flex/lunch. The run will start at the front of the school and take the usual route through the community. This year we will be finishing in the courtyard with a concert and bbq. Elgin will Rock for Fox! Make sure to bring a "Twonie for Terry". You can also buy hotdogs for $2 and pop for $2. Here is how you can get involved: Step 1: Go to the dedicated page of the website and donate! https://schools.terryfox.ca/ElginParkSecondary Step 2: Walk/run with your class/friends on your assigned day. Step 3: Take a picture and post it on your social media. Remember to tag @OrcaAthletics and include the hashtags #tryliketerry #nomatterwhat
