Unified Basketball
What is it and how does it work?
In 2024, Surrey Schools and the SSSAA created a new basketball league to provide more opportunity for our neurodivergent students to participate in school sports.
The Unified Basketball League brings together both neurodivergent and neurotypical student athletes to form a unified team to compete against other schools in Surrey. On each game day, four schools will play in a mini-round robin with matches lasting 15 minutes. Games will be played 3 on 3 (2 neurodivergent students and 1 neurotypical). Only neurodivergent athletes are allowed to score.
